CARE FOR YOUR BAG

Your Austin | Fowler bag is an investment into beautiful style and a high quality and durable bag.  Because of this, it is important to take special care of the materials.  

We take special care and pay a lot of attention to the materials that we select in the development of our bags.  Many of these fabrics require extra care and attention to extend the life of the bag.  

Our Care Recommendations:

• Clean out your bag and accessories each week and remove any unnecessary items.  Also use this time to restock it with anything you may need to have on hand for the week ahead.

• Use warm water on a clean cloth if spot cleaning is needed on the fabric of your bag.  It is also recommended to use light pressure as you blot the material as you don't want to change the texture of the material through harsh pressure.  

• Prior to cleaning, be sure to test an inconspicuous area to avoid uncontrollable variations in material reaction.  

• If you are storing your A|F bag by hanging it up, it is best to remove heavy items prior to hanging it as that will just put unnecessary stress on the bag when not in use.

• Try not to force a zipper closed over items that are too large to be in that pocket. Although our zippers are top quality, that will cause tension on the zipper as it is trying to accommodate something that truly doesn't fit in the pocket.

• The leather can be wiped clean with a light damp cloth or a good leather conditioner.

• If your A | F bag will not be used for an extended period of time, it's always recommended to keep it in the dust bag for safe keeping.
